Final Fantasy 14 has hundreds of mounts to collect and show off. You can fly around on anything, from a classic Chocobo to a glowing dragon. Some mounts take a lot of effort to acquire and even make you gather half a dozen other mounts first.

The Firebird is one of these mounts, acting as the "capstone" mount of FF14's Heavensward expansion. Obtaining it will require you to collect every Extreme-tier trial mount that comes from the Heavensward trials — that means you're on the hunt for seven other bird mounts before you get the Firebird. Let's take a look at which trials drop these Lanner mounts, and where you can find the related quests to unlock them.
As we've mentioned, there are a total of seven Lanner bird mounts you must get first in order to unlock the quest that awards Firebird. These mounts drop from the Extreme versions of the Heavensward trials.

All of these bird mount trials are level 60, so the content is quite outdated at this time. As such, most of these trials can be done unsynced with a few other players. Doing a trial unsynced means that you can go in at your current level, with all your best gear equipped, and complete the battle much easier than doing it at level 60 as intended. You also don't need a full party of eight people to enter the trial. This will make farming for the Lanner mounts much quicker.
If you have awful luck, you can also trade 99 of the trial's unique totem for its respective bird mount. For example, if you gather 99 Expanse Totems from the Bismarck trial without getting the White Lanner mount, you can trade the totems for it instead.
