Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker is soon releasing its first major content patch. Titled «Newfound Adventure,» it is allegedly slated for release on April 12th – roughly two weeks after tomorrow's Live Letter with the developers. Having finally concluded the story of Hydaelyn and Zodiark in Endwalker, 6.1 will open a new chapter for the Warrior of Light and the world of Etheirys.
In preparation for the Live Letter, Final Fantasy 14's game director Naoki Yoshida was interviewed by several Japanese gaming news sites, offering an in-depth rundown of what to expect in Newfound Adventure. As a massive fan of Star Wars, Naoki Yoshida conveyed his thoughts to the story and localization team that this next chapter in Final Fantasy 14's story would roughly be comparable to A New Hope. Instead of the players being requested to aid, the story will instead have them embark on the road, answering a simple call to adventure.

Alongside kicking off a brand-new saga, Newfound Adventure brings with it the epilogue of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark arc through Endwalker's Alliance raid – Myths of the Realm. Centered around unearthing the mysteries of the Twelve, Naoki Yoshida compared its difficulty to the Return to Ivalice raids featured in Final Fantasy 14's Stormblood expansion. The first raid is due to launch alongside 6.1, with the rest arriving in Endwalker's latter content patches.
