Between players using exploits to abuse ranking systems or installing third-party software like aimbots and speed hacks, many of today's biggest online competitive games often fall victim to waves of players looking to alter the game to give themselves an unfair advantage. Recently, a group of Apex Legends players came together to put these cheaters' abilities to the test.
Apex Legends has a rocky history with cheaters in the game using exploits to give themselves a competitive edge in the popular battle royale. Respawn has previously banned hundreds of thousands of cheaters from the popular battle royale, as well as many exploiting peculiarities within the game's system like the «infinite RP» glitch discovered late last year. While Apex has managed to punish many players looking to gain unfair benefits, the prevalence of third-party software has seen plenty more cheaters emerge over the years. In a recent match in the game's Predator rank, however, several teams came together to take down a team of cheaters.
Over 2,000 Players Banned in Apex Legends for Using 'Infinite RP' Exploit
A video posted to the Apex Legends subreddit shows the chaotic match as four different squads teamed up to duke it out with a squad of players caught using both aimbots and speed hacks.
