Final Fantasy 14 recently announced players could look forward to a third installment of Encyclopedia Eorzea. The lore book is currently in development by Final Fantasy 14, though it currently has no projected release date.
Encyclopedia Eorzea 3 was announced during the Live Letter from the Producer at the beginning of the 14-Hour Broadcast for Final Fantasy 14. Though it has not received an official price, players can expect the encyclopedia to be priced at $50, and will almost certainly include a code for a minion or other cosmetic item with their purchase.
Xbox Hasn't Given Up on Final Fantasy 14
The previous Encyclopedia Eorzea books only coveredFinal Fantasy 14 lore up through the Stormblood expansion. Two expansions–Shadowbringers and Endwalker–have been released since then, both of which provided a massive amount of world-altering lore. Considering all the ground Encyclopedia Eorzea 3 has to cover, the new lore book for the critically-acclaimed MMORPG will be a must-have for Final Fantasy 14 lore hounds.
Encyclopedia Eorzea 1 and 2, released in 2016 and 2018 respectively, were so massively popular that they sold out almost immediately. Both Final Fantasy 14 books have been frequently out of stock as Square Enix has tried to keep up with demand, and only recently stabilized its supply in a massive reprint during August 2022. If players hope to get their hands on Encyclopedia Eorzea 3, they had best pre-order their copies as soon as it becomes available.
