FIFA 23‘s lengthy meta may be over, as players have noticed an undocumented change to player pace in the latest FIFA 23 update.
The update, which has rolled out across consoles today, has increased the pace of explosive and controller players, making them significantly faster than the lengthy player, which had previously dominated the FIFA 23 meta.
Tall and strong players such as Erling Haaland had previously been extremely popular and effective in the game due to the acceleRATE system on current generation consoles.
However, players are now reporting that these taller players are less effective. The FIFA Ultimate Team market has responded, as faster players have shot up in value, while FUT players attempt to unload their lengthy players for cheap.
You can read the full patch notes below, however, EA didn’t list the changes to the acceleRATE system, so it’s possible it is a mistake that will be rectified in the future.
