Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 may be coming to Xbox Game Pass, according to a recent Microsoft Store update. Previous entries in both franchises have appeared on Microsoft's subscription service before via the implementation of EA Play.
Both Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 were released by EA last year. FIFA 22 gave fans what they expected from the franchise, but did very little in the way of innovation for the series outside of an aesthetic facelift for current-gen consoles thanks to the HyperMotion motion capture technology, and was widely criticized for its monetization practices. Battlefield 2042 had the worst response, with many players deeming the game broken and unplayable due to its many bugs, resulting in a 2.1 user score on Metacritic, and even leading to joke games such as Clownfield 2042 being created to ridicule the title, which went on to bomb in sales.

For those who have been deterred from purchasing Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 already due to the response to both titles, but still find themselves curious enough to give them a try, it looks like both games are going to be included as part of the Xbox Game Pass in the near future. XJP (via Eurogamer) has shared screenshots of Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22 on the Microsoft Store sporting the Game Pass logo following a recent update. As of the time of writing, neither Microsoft nor EA have confirmed that the titles are coming to the service, meaning that their addition is just a rumor for now.
It's worth noting that previous entries in both franchises have been included in Xbox Game Pass due to its inclusion of EA's own subscription service, EA Play. EA Play was added to the Xbox Game Pass
