One of the ways that Far Cry 6 has tried to stay fresh and new since it released in October is to have a veritable bushel of add-ons, DLC, and crossovers. It turns out that one of the previously announced crossover events that centers on Stranger Things is finally going to arrive this week.
The Stranger Things crossover — called «The Vanishing» — is actually the third piece of crossover DLC that followed downloadable content featuring Danny Trejo and Rambo. This new content based on the Netflix original series will see players venture into the hell-like realm of the Upside Down in search of their dog, the beloved Chorizo.

The Far Cry 6 crossover event with Stranger Things was announced last fall but when exactly it would arrive was then mostly left up in the air. The game's official Twitter account announced on the social media platform that players can get their hands on the content starting on March 24. The announcement tweet came with a short teaser video that shared information about when users could play the crossover content as well as an image of Far Cry 6's protagonist Dani Rojas holding a flashlight and looking like she is ready to head to the Upside Down.
It appears that Ubisoft is wanting to make it easier for more people to give Far Cry 6 and everything it has to offer a try for at least a few days. Alongside the announcement that the Stranger Things content is going live on March 24, the tweet also let it be known that the release will kick off a free-play weekend.
