Developer Obsidian Entertainment and its incredible work on 2010's Fallout: New Vegas recently garnered praise from Bethesda Game Studios' Executive Producer, Todd Howard. Considered the best Fallout game since Bethesda Softworks purchased the IP in 2007, New Vegas came to fruition not long after the publisher shipped Fallout 3 in 2008.
Given the critical and commercial success of the 2008 entry, Bethesda Softworks eagerly greenlit plans for a follow-up; however, BGS' focus on The Elder Scrolls
