Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout took the gaming world by storm when it released in August 2020, quickly catching on with streamers and content creators, causing it to explode in popularity. The minigame-focused battle royale was praised for its simple but addictive gameplay and the appealing style of its iconic «bean-shaped» characters, with the game reportedly being a favorite of several celebrities like Brie Larson and Tom Holland. However, the lack of versions on Xbox and Switch have been a common complaint amongst fans of the game, an issue Mediatonic will soon be looking to fix.
Versions of Fall Guys coming to Xbox consoles and Switch have been long been a hot topic amongst fans with the nearly two-year-old game not yet seeing ports to major home consoles outside of the PS4. Mediatonic and Devolver Digital have previously confirmed that Switch and Xbox versions of Fall Guys were in development, but neither would confirm a potential release date for the ports. However, a massive reveal from Mediatonic has now confirmed that not only is Fall Guys coming to Switch and Xbox, but the game will also be going fully free-to-play.
Fall Guys Switch Version Still in the Works
A recent announcement from Mediatonic officially revealed the release dates for the PS5, Switch, Xbox, and Epic Games Store versions of Fall Guys, with each of them set to arrive on their respective platforms on June 21. The update also confirmed that Fall Guys will be going fully free-to-play following the release of the new versions, with previous owners on PS4 and Steam set to receive a Legacy Pack of unique cosmetics as well as the first of the game's reworked premium battle passes for free.
