It's a good time to be a Fall Guys fan. The game has not only been released on Switch and Xbox consoles but it's gone free to play as well, a move that is definitely bolstering Fall Guys' playerbase.

Fall Guys Needs to Maintain Its Quality Despite the Free-to-Play Shift
As with any multiplayer game, it's more fun to play with friends than it is to play with strangers, and that's more possible than ever now that Fall Guys has cross-platform play and progression. That being said, connecting with friends on different platforms does require a couple of extra steps.
Fall Guys' cross-platform and cross-progression systems are tied with the Epic Games Store. Console players need to tie their game to their Epic Games account.
If this is their first time booting up the new version of the game, they should automatically get a prompt to connect their account. Otherwise, they can do so from the social menu, accessible from the multi-headed icon next to the «Play!» button on the main menu.
Once the account is tied, then any friends on the Epic account will also appear on whatever console the player is using. Then the player just needs to hit invite on the previously mentioned social menu to add them to their next game.
If this isn't working, players should open the settings page and make sure that cross-play is enabled, then try again.
