F-Zero X was one of the best racing games on the Nintendo 64. Fans and newcomers will soon be able to play F-Zero X on the Switch in two days through a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack membership.
Nintendo released a trailer showing off F-Zero X's epic tracks as the characters in the game raced, and crashed, into each other. Captain Falcon, who is the most popular character in the series as he has been a playable character in Super Smash Bros., won a race at the end of the trailer.
F-Zero Fans Are Offering a Hefty Sum For Rare Game
Switch owners will be able to play F-Zero X on March 11 if they have a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack membership. Nintendo Switch Online is a subscription service that has been around for a few years now, with the Expansion Pack being added a few months ago. The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack allows gamers to get more content in popular Nintendo games, such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and play games that originally released on the Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64 on their Switch.
When the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack was first announced, gamers weren't happy due to how expensive it is, being $49.99 each year, compared to the standard membership, which is $19.99 each year. However, with the Expansion Pack adding more content as the months have passed since it launched, gamers are beginning to see the value of it, with fans of F-Zero X being especially excited at the moment. Many of them also hope that a new F-Zero game will release on the Switch.
Many F-Zero fans feel that the series doesn't get as much recognition and praise as it deserves from Nintendo. The last F-Zero game was F-Zero Climax, which released on the Game Boy Advance in 2004.
