As part of their annual exhibition, Netflix has given fans of Chris Hemsworth's Extraction a taste of things to come in the form of a first-look preview for the upcoming and fondly anticipated Extraction 2.
Loosely based on Ciudad, a graphic novel written by Ande Parks in conjunction with Joe and Anthony Russo that features art by Fernando León González and Eric Skillman, Netflix's Extraction tells the story of Tyler Rake, a former SAS operator turned elite soldier of fortune. After a drug lord’s son is kidnapped, Rake is tasked with rescuing him, but the mission falls apart after he is confronted with treachery along the way. Extraction was a major success for Netflix, becoming the streamer's biggest ever movie premiere at the time.
