Amazon Prime Video has revealed the first photos of the new superhero characters joining the cast of The Boys season 4.Portrayed by actors Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward, Firecracker and Sister Sage are original characters created for the series.
Based on the comic series of the same name, The Boys follows a group of rough-and-tumble vigilantes led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) who take on corrupt superheroes. The series was developed for Amazon Prime and Sony Pictures Television by showrunner Eric Kripke, who serves as executive producer alongside Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The season 3 finale aired on Amazon Prime Video in July 2022, and production for The Boys season 4 is currently underway in Toronto.

In the new photos, Curry and Heyward are decked out in their new superhero gear. Heyward's Sister Sage wears a brownish and gold-coloured uniform, accompanied by some very stylish sunglasses and tall platform boots. Meanwhile, Curry sports a more traditional superhero look, one that is slightly more revealing and stylized with a blue and red color scheme, and she appears to be armed with a holstered gun. According to Variety, both suits were designed byThe Boys costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, who also created the Soldier Boy costume worn by actor Jensen Ackles in season 3.
Heyward is best known for her breakout role as prison guard Tamika Ward in the final two seasons of the hit Netflix series Orange Is The New Black.
