A new graphic novel anthology is coming to Kickstarter and it's perfect for music fans. We Can Funk: A Graphic Journey In2 Funkdom is a tribute to funk music unlike any other. Featuring tributes to James Brown, Prince, and more, this is an anthology that shouldn't be passed up.
We Can Funk is the newest graphic novel from FairSquare Comics, the publisher of Noir is the New Black. This anthology is being curated by Jellybean Johnson, best known for his role as a member of The Time and Prince's The Family. Johnson is also the co-founder of MPLS Sound Museum in Minneapolis, the home of Prince.

On Kickstarter now, comic readers can pre-order the graphic novel. Add-ons and rewards for the book include tote bags, enamel pins, and a vinyl picture disc featuring an exclusive companion soundtrack by Sophian Alkurdi, an award-winning composer. Some of the creative team for the anthology includes David F. Walker, Stephanie Williams, Jim Mafhood, Joe Eisma, Gary Phillips, Joseph Illidge, Meredith Laxton, Uko Smith, TC Harris, Greg Burnham, Hannibal Tabu, Julian Voloj, and Fabrice Sapolsky. They will present twelve stories centered around iconic legends of funk.
