Squad Busters is making major changes soon by ending Win Streaks. So, no more climbing the endless ladder of consecutive wins for the sake of some extra sparkly rewards. Along with that, there are other stuff happening as well.
So, Squad Busters in ending Win Streaks because instead of making players feel like legends, the streak system was piling on the pressure and making things annoying for a lot of folks.
Starting December 16th, the game is removing the feature. But don’t worry, your highest streak is sticking around on your profile as a legacy achievement.
And to compensate for this removal, they’re giving out exclusive emotes for players who hit key milestones before December 16th. The milestones are 0-9, 10, 25, 50 and 100.
You must be eager to know what happens to the Coins spent for the streaks. Unfortunately, the devs aren’t refunding those. According to them, coins help players snag more babies from Reward Chests. Refunding them will throw the balance off, especially between free-to-play grinders and those making purchases with real cash.
As with any big change, the players are a bit divided about Squad Busters removing Win Streaks. Some players are cheering for the less pay-to-win vibes, while others are side-eyeing the decision, especially since the parting gift isn’t that great.
There’s more happening in Squad Busters right now. The latest season, Cyber Squad, is up and running. It’s loaded with tons of rewards and a freebie, the Solarpunk Heavy Skin. You can dive into battles and explore all the stuff Cyber Squad has to offer.
