To get players hyped for the new upcoming season, titled «Saviors,» Apex Legends has released the first of many trailers for Season 13. The launch trailer is a cinematic showcase of everything fans can expect from the new season, including character lore, updates to gameplay locations, and of course, a new Legend.
For those following Apex Legends, the rumors surrounding newcomer Newcastle are now confirmed. The four-minute trailer gave Newcastle more than enough time to showcase his abilities, personality, and relationship with the other Legends. Whereas the previous season's Mad Maggie was more related to Fuse, Newcastle's loyalties are tied closely with that of Bangalore. For those interested, there is quite a lot to unpack in the short trailer.

The current state of Apex Legends' newest map already hints at an impending storm on the horizon. With the advent of Saviors, it looks like the storm has finally hit the islands where the Legends duke it out. Dark clouds litter Storm Point's skybox and a foreboading waterspout can be seen not too far offshore.
From the waterspout, a giant sea crustacean emerges to terrorize the Legends. This enemy will no doubt be added to Storm Point's list of monstrosities that Apex Legends players will have to deal with when traversing the map. Unlike the Prowlers or Carthage spiders that already inhabit the islands, this new species of fauna looks like it can take a lot of punishment. It will require a full squad (or maybe even multiple squads) to take down one of these beasts, and if the trailer is anything to go by, its weak point seems to be the gills on its neck.
