The team at 2K Games and Visual Concepts developed and produced WWE 2K22 with the goal for it to “hit different,” and it did just that as the title is by far better than WWE 2K20. Pitting the two games beside each other, there are notable differences in categories such as graphics, gameplay mechanics, game modes, and other factors that give the newer iteration in the franchise the upper hand. While it still has some minor flaws, WWE 2K22 has made a big jump considering that the launch of its previous version ended up being a fiasco.
After the controversial launch of WWE 2K20, the wrestling series went on a two-year hiatus. As a result of the positive feedback that the newest iteration has received, it seems that 2K Games and Visual concepts have embraced the past regarding WWE 2K22. It’s a massive improvement as it’s able to not only fix the mistakes that were present in the past but also performed a complete overhaul in order to remedy those problems as well.

One thing that WWE 2K22 does is that it can be played based on what the user wants their experience to be like. The game’s settings have options such as being able to change any superstar or diva’s ratings to however players please. Users can also choose for their gameplay to have more of an arcade-style or simulation feel by being able to adjust features such as weight detection and ground reversals for the AI. Even though it might appear to be minuscule to some, the settings available in WWE 2K22 play a big role in adding a unique experience into the title that gives it an edge over 2K20.
