Sydney Sweeney's toe was broken after a co-star from Sam Levinson's Euphoria stepped on it while filming season 2. The HBO show, which stars Zendaya as Rue Bennett, follows a group of high school teenagers navigating a world of drugs, violence, messy relationships, self-discovery, and other triggers of teenage angst. The series not only holds a suspenseful and thought-driven plot, but it's also well-known for its ingenious aesthetics — from fashion to makeup to set design. HBO is currently airing new episodes from season 2 weekly.
Alongside Zendaya, Euphoria features a cast of rising stars who are becoming very well-known thanks to the HBO show. The core cast includes Hunter Schafer as Jules, Sweeney as Cassie, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Barbie Ferreira as Kat, and Angus Cloud as Fezco. The show features plenty of dramatization, including exaggerated scenes that push the cast's acting abilities to the limit. And one scene from season 2 resulted in a major injury for one of the main cast members.
