The trailer for Euphoria season 2, episode 5 teases police activity and Rue's downfall. TheSpider-Man: No Way Home actress, Zendaya, stars in HBO's critically-acclaimed drama as Rue Bennett, a teenager struggling with drug addiction who falls for the new transgender girl at her high school, Jules (Hunter Schafer). The pandemic caused a long layoff between seasons 1 and 2, which saw the release of two special episodes, one each for Rue and Jules focusing on their mental state in the wake of their surprising split during the Euphoria season 1 finale.
Euphoria season 2 premiered on January 9, picking up with Rue after her relapse. Rue also gets back together with Jules, though their relationship has been complicated by the introduction of Elliot (Dominic Fike). Another love triangle has emerged between Nate (Jacob Elordi), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), and Maddy (Alexa Demie). Lexi (Maude Apatow) has also been moving forward with plans for her play, which is sure to make waves later on in the season.
