Marsha actress Paula Marshall reacts to her TV husband Cal's sudden exit in Euphoria season 2. Created by showrunner Sam Levinson, Euphoria is an Emmy-winning teen drama on HBO. The series stars Zendaya as teenage drug addict Rue alongside a young cast of stars as teenagers exploring their identities while navigating sex, drugs, and personal relationships. HBO followed up the critically-acclaimed Euphoria season 1 with two hour-long specials and renewed the series for two more seasons.
Euphoria season 2 has been continuing Rue and her classmates' story with brutal intensity. The season began by exploring some of its supporting characters' personal histories, including the series' main antagonists, Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) and his father, Cal (Eric Dane). Cal especially has seen his character more fleshed out since Euphoria season 1 when he cheats on his wife Marsha (Paula Marshall) by hooking up with Jules (Hunter Schafer), who is underage. After Euphoria season 2 episode 3 revealed why Cal married Marsha and hid his true sexuality, Cal came out to his family in episode 4 while having an emotional breakdown during which he peed on the floor and told Nate that he was his biggest regret. Cal then abruptly left his family and has not reappeared in the following episodes.
