A big part of the buzz surrounding Encanto has been the creation of hundreds of fan theories, and several have been definitively confirmed or debunked by the film's creative team. It's because of the gifts' distinctness that a particular Camilo theory is better off debunked. As a shapeshifter, Camilo often transforms into the exact likeness of his family members. However, Bush has confirmed that while Camilo can look exactly like anyone else, he can't impersonate their unique powers, as some viewers hypothesized. This is ultimately a good thing, as it keeps the Madrigal gifts special to the specific people meant to have them.
