Warning: Contains a preview for Elektra #100
A new era is starting for Elektra, as the character reaches her landmark 100th issue (according to Marvel's Legacy numbering), and it all begins with an homage to an iconic Daredevil cover.
One of the most remembered moments in Elektra's history is her death at the hands of Bullseye, at the end of Frank Miller's iconic run on Daredevil. Elektra died, impaled by Bullseye on her own sai, in Daredevil vol. 1 #182, written and drawn by Miller, with inks and colors provided by Klaus Janson. The cover for the following issue showed Matt Murdock kneeling in the snow, his face a mask of anguish, embracing Elektra's gravestone. It's an iconic Daredevil cover that fans immediately recognize, and that is being paid homage to by artist Dan Panosian for the cover of Elektra #100.

In an interview shared by CBR.com, Nocenti expressed her happiness at the chance she was given to write an Elektra vs Typhoid Mary story, something she wanted
