Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle features two new companions that can follow around players as NPCs: Ember and Isobel. Ember is a Khajiit sorcerer that can be unlocked in the Tower Full of Trouble quest by speaking to Ladlow Menant at the Tor Draioch Wayshrine north of Gonfalon Bay. After meeting Ember and completing the quest chain, she will be unlocked as a permanent follower in ESO: High Isle. Only one companion character can accompany players at a time.
The Khajiit are a race of anthropomorphic felines who come from Elsweyr. Elsweyr is in the south-central region of Tamriel's main continent, and the race has been a playable character since the first Elder Scrolls game in the series. The Khajiit are masters of stealth and agility, like their real-life feline inspirations, and make great assassin characters. In previous games, the Khajiit were known to be merchants, smugglers, and thieves. In the previous Elder Scrolls mainline game, Skyrim, they were skooma smugglers, aided by their high sneak and stealth abilities. There have been many Khajiit NPCs in Elder Scrolls games over the years.
