Fans are slowly uncovering and piecing together the lore of Elden Ring. To make matters confusing, there are two very different kinds of Albinaruics. There are Albinaurics that look very human but have legs that are too weak to move. Then there are far lesser humanoid and hunched over Albinaurics, with faces reminiscent of frogs with gray skin that can walk around. Despite looking so different, both of these creatures are Albinauric, and were made by human hands.

Everyone is still figuring out who created the Albinaurics and for what purpose. What is known is that their makers were human, and the Albinaurics were believed to be impure and cursed because they were not graced by the Erdtree. Due to their lack of grace, Albinaurics are societal rejects and are treated like trash by others. This is why the Village of the Albinaurics was destroyed by cursemongers, and why they are torture victims in Volcano Manor.
The humanoid Albinaurics who cannot walk tend to use wolves as mounts to get around, and their weapons of choice are silver bows. They are called the first generation, while the frog-like Albinaurics are the second generation, which is quite different but also uses silver weapons.
