Capcom Reveals Arcade 2nd Stadium Collection

Last year, Capcom resurrected 32 classic arcade titles in its Arcade Stadium Collection, including games like Ghosts 'n Goblins, Commando, Strider, Giga Wing, and every 194X game ever made. Although not a comprehensive collection of Capcom’s arcade games, it was a great start for those who missed playing these titles when they were all the rage in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

One of the larger complaints with Capcom’s Arcade Stadium Collection was its lack of some of Capcom’s classic fighters. Street Fighter II is great and all, but Capcom is way more than just Street Fighter.

Today, Capcom is bringing back some of its lesser-known but still wonderful fighting games in the Capcom Fighting Collection, the follow-up to last year’s Arcade Stadium. It’ll include 10 games, including two that have never been released outside of Japan and one that was never released outside of arcades.

Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire have never been released outside of Japan, so both will get worldwide localization. Red Earth, meanwhile, has never made the leap beyond arcade cabinets.

The vast majority of these games are classic fighters meant to be played against human opponents, but that's sort of difficult outside an arcade. That's why Capcom is giving each of these games full online multiplayer, with ranked, casual, and custom online matches. Each game will also support rollback netcode for the best possible experience.
