After years of build-up, gamers around the world have finally been able to experience Elden Ring. For many, it seems that the anticipation was worth it, especially for gamers who enjoy playing around in complex character creators. One Elden Ring fan took advantage of the newfound customization options to transform the Tarnished into Kratos from the God of War franchise.
Kratos has one of the most recognizable designs in the video game industry. The series reboot 2018 changed up many other aspects of God of War, but Kratos remained easily identifiable even with his new look. It might be easy to understand why gamers, particularly fans of the God of War games, might bring Kratos' distinctive appearance into other titles.
Elden Ring Reaches 600K Players an Hour After Launch
Redditor wildy8 shared a screenshot of their customizedElden Ring character, which was clearly designed to look like Kratos. This isn't the first time Elden Ring players have recreated existing characters in the game's character creator, but it may be one of the most accurate attempts. Although the game does not allow players to include all of Kratos' famous tattoos at the moment, it's still very clear who wildy8 intends to play Elden Ring dressed up as.
Wildy8's recreation of Kratos appears to walk the line between Kratos' classic look and his updated look. It combines the uncanny pallor from the classic God of War games – a coating of ashes on top of his skin – with the beard and gaunter facial features from the reboot games.
