As one of Elden Ring's monstrous bosses and the Demigod of Stormveil Castle, Godrick has spent his life grafting himself and shapeshifting into the multi-limbed monstrosity you fight against to claim the crown of Stormveil Castle. An offspring of Queen Marika, he has gone mad just like one of the stray descendants of his lineage.

When it comes to fighting Godrick, he is predictable. However, he can unleash some incredibly powerful attacks, which makes him an intimidating opponent. Luckily for you, he is fairly easy to master if you just follow these tips.
Godrick the Grafted might be the second Big Boss in Elden Ring that you will defeat to progress in the story. Many of his moves can be deadly regardless of whether you are playing with a Wanderer, Warrior, or Astrologer. Boasting a large health pool and devastating attacks, Godrick is a force to be reckoned with. He is undoubtedly one of the most difficult opponents in the early game. That being said, fighting Godrick will become significantly easier as you learn his move set and begin to understand how you can exploit him.

He jumps forward in the air and pierces the ground with his axes. He will shatter the ground, which can stun you if he catches you.
Counter: This can be dodged by rolling through him just before he swings. Rush to his left side and land a few blows. When he jumps in the air, you can also easily dodge this attack or block it with a shield
If he swings his axe and a whirlwind surrounds him, he has activated his Ash of War and will either drag his axe along the ground or start rolling. If he drags his weapon, he will fire two wind shots at you.
