Elden Ring: Chelona's Rise Puzzle Solution (Ranni's Dark Moon)
Hidden within Chelona's Rise, Ranni's Dark Moon is a Full Moon Sorcery in Elden Ring that launches a small homing moon at enemies. This projectile will start slowly but pick up velocity the further it travels, bursting upon impact. The explosion will inflict a significant buildup of Frostbite and temporarily reduce the target's magic negation by 10%. While this type of Spell might not be suitable for normal or elite enemy mobs in Elden Ring, it is certainly effective against bosses within spacious arenas.
As mentioned above, Tarnished spellcasters can find Ranni's Dark Moon inside of Chelona's Rise, a tower sealed with a magical barrier. To dispel this seal, the player must solve a puzzle identical to Liurnia's Tetsu's Rise and Limgrave's Oridys's Rise — «Seek three great wise beasts.» Those who have completed the previous tower's riddles will recognize the «wise beasts» as three turtle spirits hidden in spots near the building. However, Chelona's Rise challenges the player to search the entire plateau for the ghosts, as only one sits within the tower's vicinity.

It is important to mention that Chelona's Rise is located within an area in Liurnia that only becomes accessible once Tarnished have made significant progress in Ranni's questline in Elden Ring. To reach the tower's plateau, adventurers must defeat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, in the Grand Cloister and then ascend the lift at the Deep Well of the Ainsel River. From here, the player's next destination in the Witch's questline will be the Cathedral of Manus Sellus.
