Elden Ring players have found a cheap, easy way to farm runes by exploiting the game's PvP system. Unfortunately for these rune farmers, other players have caught on, which is leading to a war between the two groups.
Elden Ring's PvP has led to several embarrassing, epic, and funny moments for many players, but some have found ways to use it to their advantage. Those looking for an effortless way to gather runes through PvP have manufactured an exploit in the southern area of the Limgrave region. For this trick, the player attempting to earn runes uses Torrent to reach an area below a cliff face before opening themselves up to invaders. Because the invading party cannot summon Torrent once in the other player's world, it is very difficult to reach this location. This leads to several instances of the invader dying while trying to reach the host player or simply forfeiting the PvP match. In both cases, the host player will earn runes, making this an easy way to farm runes even while away from the game.

While there are several unique strategies available for Elden Ring PvP players, this one seems to have struck a nerve with the game's community. A post from Reddit user SwaxOnSwaxOff (via GamesRadar) shows a method of dispatching these cheap invaders. Since SwaxOnSwaxOff can't summon Torrent, they decide to use the Waterfowl Dance Ash of War to soar through the air and reach the farmer, who is using the Mimic's Crown to mirror the appearance of an inanimate object.
