Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising brings lots of old-school JRPG charm to the table, including the need for several shop types beyond the customary weapons-and-armor varieties. In fact, the game goes hard into this, with merchants like the Bagmaker, Rune Setter, and the Lens Forger all pivotal parts of CJ's itinerary from about a quarter of the way into the game onward.

Before the quest to unlock Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising's Lens Forge becomes available, you must first complete 'A Book on the Barrows'. Speak with Ilda in the Rune Quarter in order to initiate 'A Book on the Barrows', following along with that super-quick sojourn by speaking with Isha and then heading back to Ilda. It's done and over with inside the span of a minute.
Now that the Rune Shop has opened up, it's time to build a Lens Forge. Locate Joerg, who is also in the Rune Quarter. Joerg can't operate a Lens Forge without a Raw Lens, which CJ dutifully provides. Alas, that's not enough. We'll also need to head to the Great Forest and crack open a Heavy Stone.
Heavy Stones are found in the Great Forest wherever ordinary Stones are also found. In other words, you won't have to look far, and you'll have plenty of options. There's a catch: you'll need to get your Pickaxe upgraded to the second level.
Hike over to the Tool Shop down on Outlander Lane if necessary, then teleport to the Great Forest and gather a Heavy Stone. Swing back to Jeorg to complete the quest and
