German games studio Klang has hired EA veteran Isabelle Henriques as its new co-CEO and chief operating officer.
Henriques joined the company back in February following almost six years at Electronic Arts. During her time at the US publishing giant, she worked on the Madden franchise, before becoming studio director and producer of EA Sports in 2018. I cannot wait to be a part of making this unprecedented game a reality.”
This news came alongside word that Klang had raised a Series C round of $41 million. This was led by Animoca Brands and Kingsway Capital, with Anthos, Novator, Supercell, Roosh, AngelHub, and New Life Ventures also taking part.
“This funding not only gives us the security of knowing that we have the resources for years of development, it also shows us that people believe in our vision, which is the best motivation for us,” CEO Mundi Vondi said.
