With the Formula 1 season well underway and about to make its first visit to North America, there is a new EA Sports F1 22 trailer featuring the series' newest track. The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix is set to take place this week as of writing, and Codemasters is treating fans to their first look at the new track, gameplay, and possibly other additional features.
The Miami International Autodrome has been remarkably recreated in this game with the Florida afternoon sunlight lighting up the slow corners and casting shadows from the grandstand on the front stretch. The backdrop of the track includes the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, and other amenities built up around the stadium like multiple sponsored lounging and fan gathering areas around the track and the temporary yacht harbor built into the track.
New Need for Speed Game Will Have 'Anime Elements'
On the surface, the cars look true to their real-life form but don't represent some of the final design and performance updates since this is still a preview. The trailer snaps between multiple angles of the 2022 F1 cars and at one point features a special car livery to commemorate the Miami Grand Prix along with other apparel that will feature in the game's new F1 Life customizable space. The Miami Vice paint scheme comes with a race suit and helmet design, t-shirt, and cap. These limited-time pre-order bonuses will go to fans who pre-order the Champions Edition before May 16.
