EA Sports has released a new trailer for EA Sports PGA Tour, delving into the career mode and everything you can expect to find while charting your golfer through a world of golf tournaments.
The first step is to create and customise your golfer, picking from a variety of visual customisations, clothing (which can be set on a per-round basis) equipment and swing styles – this includes tempo, shot shape and ball trajectory.
You’ll be able to start your career at three stages, working you way up from the Amateur Championship, the Korn Ferry Tour or straight at the PGA Tour itself. Within each option, you’ll then have different licensed tournaments for both men’s and women’s golf. It all builds up to playing in the Majors and shooting for a Grand Slam and FedEx Cup win – there’s 30 courses included at launch.
You’ll navigate this from the Season Hub, viewing the entire calendar, tracking your career progress and other milestones in the Career Mastery section. You’ll also have to build up your character through an RPG-style progression system where you can build up your golfer’s skill set over time. You’ll earn XP and skill points and spend them across power, driving, approach, short game and putting, gradually unlocking new shot types and expanding the options available to you on the course.
