Polish developer and publisher Techland has announced that it’s working on a new open-world fantasy action RPG.
“Are you ready to begin a new, thrilling journey with Techland?” the Dying Light maker said on Tuesday.
“We are hiring for the unannounced AAA Open World Action-RPG in a fantasy setting!”
The company currently has almost 70 open positions across various disciplines including animation, art, design, development and production.
They include a creative director who will be responsible for “defining a clear, creative vision for the game and establishing the foundations of the game (meaning, experience, context, player fantasy, world, etc).”
The team responsible for the new IP includes a number of former CD Projekt Red staff including open world director Bartosz Ochman (Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), narrative director Karolina Stachyra (The Witcher 2, The Witcher 3) and narrative lead Arkadiusz Borowik (Witcher 2, Witcher 3).
Also working on the game are creative director Mario Maltezos (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Mad Max), lead game designer David McClure (Deathloop) and lead animator Kevin Quaid (Horizon Zero Dawn).
Techland’s most recent game, Dying Light 2, was released on February 4 for PC and consoles and sold five million copies during its launch month, according to the company.
It also claimed in April that the original Dying Light has sold over 20 million copies. The game recently received a new-gen patch improving the performance of the 2015 release when played on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
