Before the launch of Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Techland revealed a five-year plan of support for the game. The developers released multiple updates since the game's release this past February with player feedback proving to be a vital asset going forward. Techland continues to listen to feedback from its player base and teases big upgrades for the PlayStation 5 version of Dying Light 2.
Dying Light 2's post-launch updates introduced new modes, missions, challenges, and NPCs. These updates would also fix major bugs to ensure a smooth experience across the console and PC versions. Techland continues to refine the Dying Light 2 experience as players expect major story DLC, Bloody Ties, to release in the near future. In fact, the upcoming Dying Light 2 DLC will be fully revealed at Gamescom 2022.
Dying Light 2 Update 1.5 Adding More Missions, Bounties, and Enemies
Recently, the official Dying Light 2 Twitter account responded to a user demanding a performance mode that allows the PS5 version to run at 4K and 60 frames per second. Techland can't share specific details at this time but the Twitter account teases that the development team is listening closely to the PS5 player base of Dying Light 2. Although not directly confirmed by Techland, it appears PS5 players can expect major upgrades for Dying Light 2 soon.
Currently, the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions of Dying Light 2 include multiple performance settings: Performance, Balanced, and Quality. The Performance mode prioritizes 60fps with minimal input lag at a display resolution of 1080p. Balanced mode aims for a higher resolution at 1440p while targeting 60fps. The third mode, Quality, lowers the frame rate down to 30fps for a true 4K experience.
