Dying Light 2’s latest console patch is said to fix issues that have been causing players to get trapped in infinite death loops.
The bug, which was targeted in a previous PC patch, occurs when a player gets killed in a restricted area and respawns in another part of the map, making it impossible to get back to the mission area before a time limit runs out.
Techland said Tuesday’s update for PlayStation consoles should stop new cases occurring and resolve existing ones, with a similar patch for Xbox players expected to be released soon.
The game’s latest update also adds a backup save system that enables players to roll back progress to the last working save point.
It addresses some audio issues on PS4 too, while fast travel now works as intended once the main story has been completed.
Techland began releasing the second free Dying Light 2 DLC pack on Monday.
The Ronin Pack DLC, which is shown off in the trailer above, includes a new gear set being made available this week in three parts, the last of which will be a new weapon.
In January, Techland delayed Dying Light 2’s Nintendo Switch release by up to six months.
