Dying Light 2 Stay Human has become pretty popular with the modding community as over 170 different fan projects are available so far. One of the more recent mods adjusts zombies' spawn density, increasing the dead population up to four sizes, making the streets far more intense.
Known as 'Zombies Spawn' by hawkidoki, this fan project significantly increases the overall number of outdoor walking dead you might encounter in the city of Villedor. While players shouldn't expect enormous zombie hordes like the ones you run from in the world of Days Gone, it's possible to boost their size by two to four times in Dying Light 2.

Or you can make things much tougher for yourself by increasing the zombies' density not only at night but during the daytime too. Needless to say, you'll need to constantly be on your guard, play it safe, and be tactical in how you navigate the streets. You don't want to get caught with a flimsy little knife in a corner as six zombies wail on you.
Players can also combine this mod with other survival-oriented projects for Dying Light 2 to create a truly hardcore experience. In this way, you have to avoid open confrontations with enemies as much as possible and rely on stealth — or things might escalate very quickly. If you're trying to encapsulate the feeling of Day of the Dead or The Walking Dead, that's perfect.
As noted, the mod is a work in progress, and the author already has some ideas for future updates. For instance, the creator plans to change the Dark zone enemy density or tweak zombies types players encounter in various locations of Villedor.
