DWTS: Maks Chmerkovskiy Reunites With Peta After Returning From Ukraine
Dancing With The Stars pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy has landed safely in Los Angeles and reunited with his wife Peta Murgatroyd after escaping the war in Ukraine. Since Russian forces attacked cities in Ukraine, Maksim, who had been in the city as a judge on World of Dance, kept fans updated with firsthand details about the chaotic state of the city. On February 24, he got emotional while talking about the effects of the Russian government's invasion of his home country in a video shared on Instagram. Maksim later shared on social media that the «streets are crazy,» and got arrested at some point.
After Maksim's February 24 update, his wife Peta pleaded with fans on her social media account to pray for him. The agitated wife, who noted that she usually doesn't show her feelings on the Internet, revealed that she was overwhelmed with pain. She explained that fans' positive words and love for Maksim would mean a lot to her at the time. She also added,«Please pray that he comes home soon. Please pray that he has a swift, safe exit. I have FAITH. I have HOPE and I have PRAYED so hard.»

Thankfully Peta's prayers weren't in vain. On March 2, the reality star safely landed in the U.S. Since Maksim's safe escape from his native Ukraine, he has reunited with his sweetheart, and it was nothing short of dazzling. In photos obtained by E! News, Maksim and his wife, who is also a dancer, were seen sharing an eternal embrace at an LAX terminal. A video published by ET on Twitter also showed Maksim kissing Peta passionately.
