Despite being nearly six years after its original release, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still being supported to this day by Dimps and Bandai Namco. The amount of post-launch support the game has received over the years is staggering, adding plenty of DLC Characters to the game. The last few additions to the game have been primarily focused around the last animated adaptation, Dragon Ball Super, adding characters like Jiren, Kale, and Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku as playable characters to its roster.
The support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon either, as the developers have announced its next packs of DLC will be focused on the latest theatrical film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. This film was released earlier this year, with positive fan and critical reception thanks to its nostalgic call-backs, along with focusing on Piccolo and Gohan, with many commenting on it being a breath of fresh air. This DLC Pack will contain playable characters based on the film, with the first of these already revealed, Gamma 2.
Dragon Ball Super Film Earns $10 Million on Opening Day
This trailer features a recreation of a scene from the film, where one of Super Hero's antagonists Gamma 2 attacks Piccolo with energy blasts, with the Namekian being able to recognize the Red Ribbon Army's logo. Gamma 2's gameplay focuses on big and flashy attacks, with emphasis on being a Super Hero like in his debut film. There's one attack where he rushes towards his foe, with a big winding punch, along with being able to fire off energy blasts.
Gamma 2 can also do a pose, where if an enemy attacks, the attack will be countered instantly. Like in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, some of Gamma 2's moves also feature the same
