Despite his best efforts, famous YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect broke character after losing a self-inflicted bet during his latest broadcast. This isn't the first time Dr Disrespect broke character, although such occasions are fairly rare relative to the length of his ongoing streaming career, which started way back in 2010.
While he's neither the first person to adopt a streaming persona nor the first to fail at maintaining one, as far as keeping up appearances for entertainment purposes goes, Herschel Beahm IV is much more committed to his character than most of his alter ego-owning colleagues. There's no doubt whether Beahm's dedication to his craft paid off, given how Dr Disrespect continues to rank among the most-watched YouTube streamers year after year.

During his latest YouTube broadcast on March 22, Dr Disrespect offered a rare glimpse at the real—and highly amused—him while trying to throw off a rival PGA Tour 2K23 player as he was lining up for a challenging chip from the rough around the putting green, proclaiming he'll pay him $100 «right now» if he makes the shot. The other player responded with a «you promise?» after already initiating the swinging animation which resulted in a chip that ended up going into the hole a few seconds later. Beahm proceeded to look away from the screen, seemingly struggling to contain laughter for several seconds before finally managing to recompose himself.
His chat was less reserved during all this, erupting in laughter and all-caps messages to «pay that man» all throughout Dr Disrespect's struggles to keep a straight face. For some 30 seconds, the massive influx of messages resembled that of a free-for-all chat,
