Google has made the occasion of Children's Day special for India by announcing the winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google competition. Shlok Mukherjee from Kolkata, West Bengal has bagged the first prize in the contest. Informing about the same Google said, "The winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google competition in India is Shlok Mukherjee from Kolkata, West Bengal! Shlok doodles his hope for India's scientific advancements to take center stage."
Shlok bagged the top spot in the contest by competing against 115000 entries from children in classes 1 to 10 from over 100 Indian cities. Shlok's doodle - titled ‘India on the centre stage' - expresses his hopes for further momentum in India's scientific advancements in the next 25 years. His Doodle will be featured on Google.co.in for 24 hours of November 12, 2022.
"We are thrilled to announce this year's National Winner of the India Doodle for Google contest: Shlok Mukherjee from Delhi Public School in NewTown, Kolkata, with his thoughtful and inspiring Doodle titled, "India on the center stage," Google said.
Shlok writes, “In the next 25 years, my India will have scientists develop their own eco-friendly robot for humanity's betterment. India will have regular intergalactical travels from Earth to space. India will develop more in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda, and will get stronger in coming years.”
It can be known that the theme of the contest was "In the next 25 years, my India will…”Google further informed that 20 doodles were finalised by a team of judges including actor, filmmaker, producer and TV personality Neena Gupta; the Editor-in-Chief at Tinkle Comics, Kuriakose Vaisian and these were put up online for public voting.
