Don't Miss the Secret Phoenix Wishwing Pet During Cataclysm Timewalking
While Cataclysm Timewalking is active this week, players can complete one of the necessary steps for obtaining the secret Phoenix Wishwing battle pet! The most important step of the relatively short chain requires defeating Alysrazor in the Timewalking version of the Firelands raid, but this step is only completable during Timewalking — the regular version of Firelands does not contribute. Fortunately, the Glittering Phoenix Ember drops for every player who defeats the boss with no prerequisite, but it still means that interested players should be sure to join a Firelands Timewalking raid before the event is over!
Obtaining the Glittering Phoenix Ember To obtain the Glittering Phoenix Ember you must defeat Alysrazor in Firelands Timewalking. This item drops for everyone in the group and there is no pre-requisites to it dropping. Firelands Timewalking is only available during Cataclysm Timewalking week, which at the time of posting, is this week! You can queue up with a premade group at Vormu in Stormwind City or Orgrimmar. Check group finder for groups that may be running, but be aware as time passes it may be more difficult to find a group doing Firelands Timewalking. If you plan to get this pet at some point in the future, we recommend at least getting the Glittering Phoenix Ember now.The rest of the steps are relatively simple collections from around the game world, without requiring any special events aside from access to Dragonriding, so make sure you check out our guide after defeating Alysrazor and enjoy your adorable new Phoenix Wishwing!
