The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is an extremely capable tablet — and one that's made even better with a keyboard. But does the Tab S8 come with a keyboard in the box, or do you need to buy it separately? Announced in February 2022, the Galaxy Tab S8 family looks to be the best tablet lineup Samsung's ever released. It's touting refined designs, powerful specs, and three new models to choose from. There's the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and the Tab S8 Ultra.
Samsung's marketing materials show the tablets doing a lot. They're touted as excellent gadgets for gaming, streaming movies, and drawing/doodling thanks to the included S Pen. Samsung also frequently shows the Galaxy Tab S8 used with a keyboard accessory. Take the Tab S8, dock it into Samsung's keyboard attachment, and it instantly turns into a laptop replacement.

While that's undoubtedly an interesting use case, it's also one that comes at a cost. Despite much of Samsung's advertising showing the Galaxy Tab S8 with a keyboard, the Tab S8 does not come with a free keyboard accessory. In fact, it doesn't even come with a charging adapter. All that's in the box with the Tab S8 is the tablet itself, the S Pen, a USB-C cable, and an ejector tool to open the SD card slot. If you want a keyboard to use with the Galaxy Tab S8, you'll need to pay extra for it.
As for how much that keyboard will cost you, that depends on which version of the Tab S8 you have and which keyboard accessory you want.
