Warning: Spoilers forDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ ending makes a major change to Werewolf by Night, who is all but confirmed to be one of Phase 4’s new heroes. Marvel is reportedly in the midst of filming a Halloween special for Disney+ centered on its Werewolf by Night character. As a result, one of two different versions of the Marvel Comics hero – Jake Gomez or Jack Russell – is expected to join the MCU within the year.
As a character who headlined his own comic book series, Werewolf by Night had an important presence in the 1970s and is considered a key player in the supernatural side of the Marvel Universe. It seems he’ll be brought to life by Gael Garcia Bernal in the MCU, though the extent of his role remains to be seen. As for how his debut will be handled, there are numerous theories regarding how Marvel will explain the character’s werewolf transformation.
