Disguised Toast Criticizes Ninja for His Twitch MasterClass
It’s not surprising that some people will look at the wealth and fame of successful Twitch streamers and wonder if they could do it too. However, while the biggest streamers might live in mansions and drive expensive cars, most never get close to that level.
A few months ago, Tyler «Ninja» Blevinsbegan offering some guidance for a price. In March, he launched a course on MasterClass about how to get started as a streamer. However, not everyone approves of this course, which costs $180 per year with no guarantee that students would experience success in their Twitch careers.
Twitch to Address Concerns Over Gambling Streams
Jeremy «Disguised Toast» Wang is the latest Twitch star to criticize Ninja’s MasterClass, which some have derided as nothing more than a “cash grab.” He shared his opinions while streaming on August 7. “Your streaming career will never, ever start with you pressing the stream button,” Disguised Toast said to his chat. He went on to make a jab at Ninja’s MasterClass, saying, “I know you paid 200 bucks for Ninja to tell you that. He’s lying to you. Ninja is a liar.”
According to Disguised Toast, a streamer’s career begins well before their first stream. Instead, it begins by mastering a game or starting a YouTube or TikTok channel. This advice makes a lot of sense since doing the first attracts viewers while the other two let content creators cultivate an audience well before their first stream. Disguised Toast doesn’t think an aspiring streamer needs to do all three. However, he believes that content creators need to succeed at one of them before they start streaming on Twitch.
