2021 was a great year for the Nintendo Switch, with Nintendo's hybrid console celebrating four years on the market with some incredible exclusives such as Metroid Dread, Shin Megami Tensei 5, No More Heroes 3, and even some noteworthy titles that went under the radar such as NIS America's Disgaea 6. With the game approaching a year from launch, it's no surprise that Disgaea 6 is about to make the jump from Switch exclusive to multi-platform release with the newly announced Disgaea 6 Complete, which brings together all of the Switch version's DLC alongside the main game to PS4, PS5, and PC this summer.
Disgaea is a strategy RPG series created by Nippon Icchi Software (NIS) that first debuted on the PS2 in 2003 and has since gone on to become a successful JRPG franchise with multiple spin-off franchises, and is it positioned as the flagship franchise for publisher NIS. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny first released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan on January 28, 2021. The game follows a zombie named Zed on a quest to defeat the god of destruction and introduced 3D visuals to the series for the first time in its 13-year history.

Despite releasing on both PS4 and Switch in Japan, only the Nintendo Switch version made its way to western territories when the English release of the game arrived in June 2021.
