Dexter: New Blood actor David Zayas says Angel Batista's iconic fedora was there from day one. Zayas was a series regular inDexter, appearing in all eight seasons of the popular serial killer thriller. His character, Angel, was a homicide sergeant who is later promoted to lieutenant in Dexter season 8. Angel was close to Dexter in the original series, although he remained oblivious to his friend's homicidal activities and even defended him against others who were suspicious.
