Destiny 2: How To Get Solstice Event Tickets (& What They're For)

With the annual Solstice event well underway, Guardians may or may not have noticed that they can get Event Tickets this year in Destiny 2 for additional rewards. Event Tickets are among the many unique features introduced in this year's Solstice event, being one of four currencies over the next three weeks. Like everything else, these Event Tickets will be unusable and unobtainable once Solstice ends during the weekly reset on August 9. Guardians will need to work as quickly as possible if they wish to collect all Event Tickets and spend them on more cosmetics.

Another one of the changes that players may have noticed is their brand new Solstice Event Card. Starting with this year's Solstice, the Event Card will return during every event throughout the year to provide players will a couple of dozen challenges. While these Event Challenges reward Kindling upon their completion, a material that is needed to upgrade the Candescent armor, they also reward players with an Event Ticket. These Event Tickets can then be spent on the cosmetic items located at the bottom of the Event Card, but only if players have the upgraded version.

The upgraded version of the Event Card is something that Guardians will need to acquire through Silver, the game's premium currency. However, Guardians can still do Solstice challenges first before buying the upgrade version as each completed challenge will reward them with an Event Ticket. The only time the upgraded version is needed is if the available cosmetics are something that Guardians want without a doubt.
