The Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2 has introduced 40+ new weapons, and players are finally getting a feel for which ones are standing out. One particular group of new weapons that have been standing out since the expansion's release have been the seasonal weapons obtained from the Psi-Ops Battlegrounds activity in the Helm. Out of all these weapons, the new light-machine gun, Recurrent Impact, has been one the most popular among guardians due to its similarities to one of the best-sunsetted weapons in the game, 21% Delirium. The Recurrent Impact is part of the best LMG archetype in the game with its rapid-fire frame, but its available traits and fast reload speed make this weapon a step above all of the others in its class.
In order to unlock this weapon, players won't be in for much of a grind. This weapon can drop from chests at the end of the Psi-Ops Battlegrounds activity or by completing some of the Season of the Risen's Challenges in Destiny 2, which also award large amounts of XP upon completion. The chests at the end of the Psi-Ops activity only have a chance to drop random rolls of the weapon, so players will have to get lucky after a few runs of the activity. Additionally, after ranking up enough with Saladin in the Helm, players will unlock the ability to focus their Umbral Engrams into random rolls of the Recurrent Impact from the Helm.

Players can also unlock the Recurrent Impact for crafting at the Relic on Mars after getting two versions of the weapon to drop with Deepsight Reconnaissance. Unfortunately, players won't be able to put the best perks on the weapon straight out of the gate with Destiny 2's weapon crafting.
