Season 16, combined with the Witch Queen expansion, has been one of the biggest seasons for Destiny 2 yet. Not only did players see major changes with the inclusion of a weapon crafting system, new weapon types with Glaives, as well as a sweeping overhaul to Void subclasses, but the game's narrative continued the momentum started over the past few seasons and further pushed things forward in anticipation of the remaining upcoming expansions.
However,Destiny 2 is now in the later stages of Season 16 as Bungie directs attention towards what's coming next. While the developer certainly has some secrets it won't be sharing in advance, the last few weekly updates have started to pull the curtain back on season 17 a bit. Solar and Arc subclasses will be getting a similar overhaul in the next couple of seasons, weapon crafting at The Relic is going to be getting easier, and even Lord Saladin is going to see an overhaul to earning rewards similar to current vendors at the Tower. In this week's expansive blog post, Destiny 2 community manager Dylan «dmg_04» Gafner revealed a ton of planned changes coming to the gameplay sandbox with the help of Staff Designer Chris Proctor. Over the years, Destiny 2 has added plenty of mobility options for players, especially for getting around in the air or getting the drop on unsuspecting enemies below.
